Fieldtrip to the construction site "Poljine Hills"

08/12/2015. year, the second year students within the course Architectural Design II, have visited one of the currently most interesting sites - Poljine Hills in Vogosca.

"Poljine Hills" is a modern residential settlement comprising of 211 villa units on an area of 180,000 m2. In addition to the settlement with more than 200 urban villas with all the common facilities, the project "Poljine Hills" and consists of 10 residential buildings with more than 250 residential units. There are an adequate number of garage and parking places, public and commercial spaces, walkways, parks and areas for children to play and relax.

Students and teaching staff were greeted by professionals from the site, and taken through the site with providing useful information and explanations.

Considering that the student assignment in this course is to design individual family house, a site visit is of great importance for their future and more detailed work. Getting out of the frame of the project task and theoretical background, this site visit gives a practical and realistic insight in what is their task.
Since the project "Poljine Hills" includes residential buildings, commercial, public spaces and green areas as well, this visit is an excellent basis for further assignments of students during their studies, as well as after.
