Notice of Student Mobility Scholarship

Call for Application

HochschuleWeihenstephan-Triesdorf (Freising/Munich) offers mobility scholarships for students at master level, supported by the ERASMUS program for students of Western Balkan countries. The period of mobility is one academic year, from March 2016 to February 2017. The scholarship covers the following benefits: monthly subsistence allowance, travel costs, insurance and tuition fees (if applicable).

The dead line for application submission is 23. December 2015

Who can apply?

Eligible students from Burch University, Faculty of Architecture, which are at first year of master studies, who are interested to achieve one yearacademic mobility at the EU universityat HSWT.

What study program is offered?

The following modules are part of the master programme ‘International Master of Landscape Architecture’ and offered in English:

Planning and Project Management (5 ECTS)

  • Project Management in Planning and Design (3 ECTS)
  • Work Methodology (2 ECTS)

Information Technologies in Planning and Design (5 ECTS)

  • GIS I (2 ECTS)
  • GIS II (3 ECTS)

Planning and Design Methods (5 ECTS)

  • Landscape Concepts (2 ECTS)
  • Landscape Architecture Methods (3 ECTS)

Main Project I (15 ECTS)

The project theme will be at a regional/local scale and located in Northern Italy

International Planning and Design (5 ECTS)

  • Planning systems (3 ECTS)
  • International approach to planning and design (2 ECTS)

Planning and Project Management (5 ECTS)

  • Strategic project management (3 ECTS)
  • Communication (2 ECTS)

Information Technologies in Planning and Design (5 ECTS)

  • Seminar IT (2 ECTS)
  • Visualisation (3 ECTS)

Planning and Design Methods (5 ECTS)

  • Participation (2 ECTS)
  • Monitoring and Assessment (3 ECTS)

Main Project II (10 ECTS)

  • The project theme will be an urban open space regeneration project, we are in the process of specifying it

Students are expected to take all modules as they are integrated (aspects of the theory modules are applied in the main project). Anyone who speaks also German can of course take additional courses from the Bachelor programs in landscape architecture (construction and design), landscape planning and nature protection or urban planning.

What does the scholarship covers?

The monthly allowance is 800 € and it should cover monthly subsistence allowance, travel and visa costs, and tuition fees insurance grantees do not have to cover any participation/tuition/registration fees at the host universities.

Application procedure

If you are interested in this study module we encourage you to submit your application for this mobility program. The complete application should comprise of:

  • motivation letter (in which it is stated for which study program application is submitted, main objectives for mobility),
  • CV (one page),
  • score certificate,
  • language certificate
  • scanned passport

Additional information

Location of studies will be Freising in Bavaria (30 km north of Munich, medium-sized town with 40.000 inhabitants, the study group is international, language of instruction is English).
