Architectural interventions on heritage buildings intended for persons with diminished physical abilities

Persons with diminished physical abilities are part of every community. However, as such they are not given enough attention. The main problem of certain categories of disabled people lies in their Limited ability or inability of independent movement. The cause of this situation are many, and one of the most important is the lack of thoughtful design, created as result of insufficient knowledge of the rights and opportunities of people with disabilities, as well as relevant construction norms. The science of preservation of architectural monuments has progressed over time and today has reached such a level of development that allows finding appropriate and highly-quality solutions.

On 21st December, Dr Irma Fejzić held a lecture on Architectural interventions on heritage buildings intended for persons with diminished physical abilities. This event took place at Motif room at Architectural department of International BURCH University. Discussion after the lecture was moderated by Assistant Prof. Dr. Sanela Klarić.
