We would like to announce the successful completion of the third annual Pescara Summer School in which two of our International Burch University teaching members participated, Emina Zejnilovic and Lejla Odobasic from the Department of Architecture.
Universita G. d’Annunzio Dipartimento di Architettura di Pescara, with the participation of the municipality of Pescara, hosted its third Summer School for Collaborative research from August 29 – September 8, 2017. Two hundred and eighty students as well as thirty-seven educators from Italy and abroad participated.
Our staff was part of Lab 3 led by the renowned Italian prof. Domenico Pontenza with the assignment to revitalize the area around the university and to connect it back to the university campus. Students were organized in to ten groups, each group presenting their design solution through the final exhibition.
Pescara Summer school also hosted lectures by the most influential contemporary architects such as Paolo Desideri, Pier Luigi Sacco and Antonio Monestiroli as well as numerous exhibitions and activities.
IBU Architecture would like to thank your hosts and partners at the Universita G. d’Annunzio Dipartimento di Architettura di Pescara, and we look forward to our future collaborations.
